"All the world comes to Shanghai to shoot hoops"—this is the vibrant declaration issued to the world by the Vermilion Soaring Plan. With basketball as a universal language, it gathers like-minded passion from across the globe, transcending geographical boundaries to achieve a profound spiritual resonance.

This Public Art Unit is curated by fibre/áunn museum and presented in collaboration with Jingyao Qiyue. At its visual core stands artist Zhang Zhanzhan's iconic red sculpture series. Four sculptural forms, each with its own distinct posture, translate the fleeting rhythms and tension of the sporting arena—where strength meets gentleness, competition intertwines with healing, and the dynamic energy of the court dissolves into the stillness of art. As viewers wander through the space, they encounter the symbiotic coexistence of athletic spirit and poetic artistry.
